This dark chocolate granola is bitter like cocoa, actually salty, and unusual in a way that keeps you grabbing for cluster after cluster. Best Aldi Bratwurst

Aldi’s Bavarian brats beat out Trader Joe’s Bavarian brats in a head-to-head competition within our best brat taste test. They may not be as big, but their flavor is much better. As managing editor Gwynedd Stuart described it in her review, “You get pepper and herbs and a little bit of underlying sweetness.” They’re classic Bavarian brats. Best Aldi GF Tortillas

We included two gluten-free tortillas from Aldi in our best gluten-free tortillas ranking—the Live G Free Original flavor and the Live G Free Spinach flavor. The spinach has the edge, though, thanks to the sheer amount of spinach, dill, and garlic flavor the gluten-free tortilla packs. However, if you’re in the mood for something plain, the original flavor won’t let you down. They’re big, they’re stretchy, and they’ll hold all your fillings together.

Best Aldi Hot Sauce

You might not expect an avocado sauce to actually pack heat, but Aldi’s green hot sauce is both creamy and spicy, with a little bit of tang, too. Best Aldi Beef Jerky

While Aldi’s Simms brand of regular beef jerky is totally acceptable, the biltong (a South African style of dried meat) is much more interesting. It tastes like Italian bresaola. It’s very meat-forward, extremely thinly sliced, and easy to eat handful after handful. It’s one of the best Aldi products for on-the-job snacking, perfect for slipping into a desk drawer.

Best Aldi Applesauce

While we did really like the fresh mozzarella (and the blue cheese crumbles, and the dill havarti), this cheesy hybrid took the top spot in our best Aldi cheese ranking. It’s tangy, savory, and a little bit funky. Perfect for snacking or crumbling onto a cheese board.

We tasted 28 different Aldi chocolates. That’s a lot of chocolate. And a lot of it is pretty good. But this chocolate bar is the best. It has lots of little, tiny bits of toffee, so it almost becomes a toffee version of a Crunch bar—but with a better quality chocolate base.

Best Aldi Potato Salad

Who would have thought that one of the best Aldi buys would be potato salad? But Aldi’s classic, premade potato salad really wowed us. The potatoes are cooked perfectly—they’re tender without being crumbly, firm without being crunchy. The seasoning is just right and there’s enough mayo to hold everything together.

Best Aldi Sundae Cones

We included two Aldi products in our ranking of the best sundae cones, a super adorable space-themed cone that would be perfect for kids’ birthday parties, and this cone, which is just for you. No need to share. The caramel is gooey. The white chocolate ice cream actually tastes like white chocolate. The cone is crunchy. It’s an ice cream masterpiece and it’s much cheaper than other brands. It’s one of the best Aldi finds if you need a special treat.

Best Aldi Ice Cream

We ranked 23 different pints in our Aldi ice cream ranking, and Specially Selected Dulce de Leche took the number one spot. The ice cream is caramel. The swirl is caramel. It’s caramel, caramel, caramel—and it’s good caramel. Clearly, it’s one of the best Aldi products for caramel lovers. It’s extremely delicious and indulgent—like, curl up in a plush robe with a romance novel level indulgent.

Best Aldi Deli Meat

This is not only one of the best Aldi foods, it’s also the best prosciutto we tasted in our prosciutto taste test. It’s meaty and nutty and fills your mouth with fatty, porky flavor. You can use it on a charcuterie board and everyone will think you went to a fancy store to buy it. But it’s cheap enough that you can layer it onto a sandwich, as well. Try it with some of Aldi’s fresh mozzarella—one of the top Aldi cheeses we tried.
